EPA Lead & Copper Rule Revision Required Service Line Inventory Statement
October 16, 2024
Legislation passed in 2021 required public water systems to identify all lead service lines and develop a plan for their replacement to better protect communities from exposure to lead in drinking water. To comply with the rule improvements, Robertson County WSC visually inspected all service connections and reviewed system records.
Robertson County WSC has no lead service lines or galvanized service lines requiring replacement. Robertson County WSC reached this determination because lead service lines have never been used in the system operation.
Robertson County WSC found no evidence of the use of lead service lines (i) in the system records, including distribution system maps and drawings, historical records, meter installation records, inspections and records of the distribution system that indicate material composition, or (ii) when reading water meters or performing maintenance activities in the course of normal system operations.
